Any other daily travellers here?

since I use AI to aggregate my 36 years of newly scanned and digitized trip logs, and since the community here tends to make nasty comment about my use of AI, I do not share as much as I could
Why not open a separate thread for your AI logs and state your approach beforehand? I doubt that anyone would be against it, and you'll get responses from people who are actually interested in your way of doing things.

D.M.T. (Department Of Metaphysical Tourism) is golden 🥇😂
It was a bit of shortcut to talk about the king idea
All is well, and thanks for your clarification. Most likely, I just wanted to point out that the king idea is complex, but you've covered it all already.
I really love how the "DMT" asked you if you wanna die that way, hold aware, just lying there...
MAybe, even in our death, we need to.... actively die, same way I feel we need to actively love
We get guidance that is relevant for us. So, it's kind of meaningless to just apply others' insights without trying them for yourself.
You can like my shoes, but they could be a tight fit too. Yet, I see lots of common ideas people get around medicine use.

I could do that. Thanks for the idea! I am currently putting it together for a book. I am now editing the mistakes and formatting issues in the Kindle publishing proof copies I have received from amazon , should be done by summer's end. It's really nice to have one's own trip logs published and bound in your hand, with a cover, and illustrations, and the whole lot. Makes it feel 'official' somehow, Any subjects you would like to see covered to begin with? Any specific questions you have about my last 30 plus years, let me know. I have no secrets, and want to share as much as I can, I just don't like getting blasted online for my publishing/data analysis choices :)

thanks for sahring, i make changa, and check in once haevily every five years or so, 15 min mediation in, 15 min trip (either, two or three hits), window box breath work, always sitting on the floor and i keep my spine straight and sit in a half lotus position, usually and then after 15 minutes i always meditate for another 15 minutes before standing up again, so while dosing its 45 minutes start to finish, breath work is huge here and i like my heart rate low, 70s ish and get there after about 10 minutes of small, slow breaths generally nostral only, in thru the nostral out thru the mouth,

candles are nice for the first session,
but if onw doses the next day they might be too bright, i start with three candles, then two, then, one, then none, then switch to water fallas like a cheap desktop. the sound provides the key aspect to let one know the session is over and all is well etc. same thing for music,

at first one wants the music medium level , but after a few sessions, youll want mostly just silence. this is all depending on if ur dosing during the day or night.

i prefer night, either outside by a creek with a water fall, favorite location was the lourve france, but indoors near a fire is fun or fire place, when smoling with a pipe make sure to practice setting the pipe down in the location its going to sit while ur sitting, else you might fall over and then burn urself on the pipe and dont use a water bong, youll just spill and break it.

the important part to remember while dosing is, much like sking, not to foget, that ur in the nexus.
Hi, thanks back for your comment! Alone, I would not be comfortable with candles. There are times when you are so far gone on breakthough doses, I don't think I could release authority knowing there was a small fire in the room somewhere. Some part of me would remain vigilant, and attached to baseline. With a sitter, no worries. But I trip eyes closed pretty much 100% of the time. I really like having the sun on my closed eyes. It makes the visuals more golden, yellow, bright and earth toned, wherease eyes closed in darkness, I get more reds, purples, deep greens.
For music, I do both with and without. I have found that music is not decorative in the space, it is structural, architectural. So I choose wisely. Also, if there is music, I find it harder to tune to the carrier wave. That all encompassing hum, static, crinkle, OHM, energy wave (call it whatever you like) that precedes me exiting my body , that propels me into hyperspace. I use this carrier signal as my 'return to home' bearing, and I have found, with time, that I am more confortable going really deep when I can stay in contact with this energy signal/wave. When all else fails and I am lost beyond comprehension, I listen for the wave and follow it back to the coherence gate (what I call the threshold between the exhibit district and the stabilized breakthrough regimes) From the gate, I can attempt a new entry/stabilization event, but I use the carrier tone for that exploit. It blasts me out of my body, and also allows recombination with it. Also, I would never do a full doses alone outside. Trainig dose, ok. With a sitter maybe, like at my cottage. But it must be weird to deal with mosquitoes and such when your deemed out of your body, no? A high pitched mosquito buzzing fly-by is not distracting? Alone, I would not be confortable releasing all control in the forest, or in a park, or whatever. I find my mamalian survival instincts don't allow me that. I would be one foot in and one foot out. know what I mean?

I know most people in this thread are cannabis users before ever seeing them post about it, from recognizing the unmistakable cannabis use pattern in the way and frequency they talk about smoking DMT. I'm not saying that's a bad thing in itself necessarily but the character of cannabis use undoubtedly rewires the brain in affecting other areas and substances that are used.

The frequency and form of DMT use you all report is not so typical for DMT use usually, and more reminiscent to me of stoners. The sober state will always be the reference because its the baseline and most effective for a carrying out much of whats necessary for daily functioning and development.

this is a joke

In the past yes, mostly with oral harmalas as a base. It was great, especially in the right context, but lately I find other combinations of approaches/medicines much more useful, even if it's just a few times a month. Especially low dose LSD as a basecamp for DMT, as it does much of the heavy lifting and you need less DMT/it lasts longer.

Judging by the number of comments, it may be more 'typical' or widely practiced than one might think. I mean you did have to say 'you all' :) . Also, it may be that some people are one and done (maybe like you or most people), or once in a while (maybe this is more you?), whereas others feel called to return (doesn't seem to be you).
With weed, personally, I don't mix the 2. My buddy does, and he loves it. I prefer a clean entry. However, I don't judge him for it. Who am I to say his way is not good for him? Only the traveller can comment their voyage. And my way is certainly not yours. or his, or anyone elses. One thing i can say, is after a big trip, I loves me a big ol joint and a freezing cold beer to chill and journal. Not before. After. It's a tradition! Not my morning sessions, though; They get coffee and a trip to the can! :)

That silly post of mine was just a joke poking fun at some statements that have been made in the past about this topic, don't take it seriously ;)

My personal thoughts on the topic are similar to yours.

The day I feel comfortable taking DMT daily, even at low doses, it will mean that I have been able to increase my mindfulness considerably. Some times I've been able to keep it up (with low doses) for a few days in a row, but the part of me that doesn't want to be fully awake pushes me away from it. It's not dissimilar to my consistency issues with meditation.

Some people may use it for mindless fun. I'm not one to judge that either, whether positive or negative, the consequences will be theirs to bear.

To me, a low dose of DMT peels off a good chunk of my mental stories, attachments, and aversions. This is obviously positive, but I've learned I need to respect the parts of me that aren't yet ready. It's a process and I'm not in a hurry. Pushing too much can be like the Taoist story of pulling the peach tree blossoms to get the peach sooner, killing the flowers in the process.

In summary, I think frequent DMT can be very beneficial if approached in the right way, and as long as one's (or one's support network is) able to recognize any potential unbalanced states or lack or grounding.

My practice and life are quite different from yours, but I still appreciate hearing about your experience. I'm more into strong oral doses once a month.
I'd like to hear how you manage your practice and everyday life. I guess family and your highly structured (disciplined) approach help you to stay grounded.
How about a powerful, mind-shattering dose and coming back to this reality? What helped you the most to maintain everyday use?

You sound sane and coherent, so I guess you're doing it the right way for you. In my case, I agree with @blig-blug and would need a stable, mindful base first of all.
We're all so different and somehow the same. Apes are strange creatures, and our minds are infinitely fascinating.

Have you had any issues with any condensation on your desk vape? I ask because I also have a yocan Ziva 2.0, and it has an 'auto' function' you activate it, and it jusy blows a continuous plume of vape out its hole. I have considered using it to fill a large bottle and then rip the whole bottle's worth of vapour from it. maybe even add a hole, or a 'carb' to it to get all the vapour in in a single go. For breaktrough doses of course. Not for daily training. If you say your rig is great, I'll buy one, I have tons and tons of freebase left that I judge not 'clean' enough for my carts. I would be into trying loading it in there. I have tried with vapour genie and others, so far best results with freebase have been the yocan Orbit, but it is hit and miss for me, and you are left with a hot physical item in your hand when your hand starts to forget its a hand at all. Even after all my years, I am open to learning, so if you are saying this volcano is the business, I'll get one.
Hello , no no issues with condensation, the one I would suggest is the volcano hybrid,
once it gets to temp 170 ish, I wait about a minute before 1st pull.
What I like about it, is it stays on for 20+ min and it has a whip ,!! , that means the vape is on the floor
and end of the whip in hand ready .
I will generally just keep going untill the DMT is done . It comes with a bag that inflates , so you can have a big bag of Dmt if you prefer . 👍

I have not done oral DMT ever. It is something that interests me, as does DMTx, I would love to try both, but they have not been in the cards. As I mentioned before, time is always the great enemy, so longer trips are difficult.
As for managing the day to day, I should mention that I do this in the very early morning, before anybody in the house wakes. I go into the basement family room. I purposefully set asdide 30-60 minutes just for me, just for this. I do not ever go past 6am. If for some reason I don't think I will be able to finish in time, I skip a day. Being pressed for time is never a good entry point. Immediately after, I do my morning routine, the basics; shower, teeth, all that shiz. Usually as I am on the can, I do my 1st verbal journal recording. Immediate recollections. No details, on purpose. I note launch and puff times, amounts, large scale memories, emotions and any somatics. Any ''details'' I leave out for a reason. then, after the morning stuff, I will re-read my report, and allow my mind to access any other large scale info. I note it. I then get to the tasks of getting the family up, prepping the lunches and all that good stuff. This is grounding exercise numero uno of the day. Nothing like arguing ''tuna or ham sandwich???'' to set you back on the straight and narrow!! ahahah When I am in the car on my way to work, I then journal my details. not before. And I purposefully leave out any and all ''meaning'', I am not interested in meaning, but in phenomenology. What did I actually see, hear, feel, etc., In what order, where in the journey etc. It is usually during the drive that I will get the AI to compare and contrast todays experience with the database; any themes recurring, any 1st time experiences, any open question from past journal entries that have been answered, adressed, contradicted etc, this is the part i really use AI for. If during that time I have an idea for a post of a chapter of the book, I will then work on it in the car, bouncing ideas off of GPT in voice mode, often I put it in /redman mode which makes it look for counter-argumants to anything I say. I want to have holes punched in my ideas. I will have it check the literature as well for any studies relating to my subject of the day, etc. This is my creative time. Alone in the car.
I tend to then go about my day, without giving too much thought to the morning session. If there are insights to integrate, they pop up on their own, I do not chase them. My work is very demanding, so I don't have time to 'linger' on my trip all day. On my way home, sometimes I will have GPT re-read me all the mornings content, sometimes I just blast some drum and bas at ludicrous levels and enjoy the ride. I go on vibe. After work, is the regular family routine again, food, homework, showers, taxiing to basketball etc. All this keeps me very tied to reality as well. Encouraging your kids with screams of 'Defense, take that ball away, take that ball away, defeeeeense'' keeps you right in the'' this is real'' zone. Grounding routine number 2. I meditate for a good half hour at night, before going to bed, when evertyone else is off to their rooms. It is this meditation in which I try and revisit, from entry to exit, my entire trip. This is the last journal entry of the day, if I have anything to add.

Now, the business.....My large doses, I do not do that alone. So I will usually, on those days, not drink or smoke anything., I tend to eat more veg on those days as well. I go to my friend's house for the full boat trips. We go in in shifts. Either him or me 1st, no set pattern. I sit for him, he sits for me. Sometimes, if we are doing big trips followed by repeated top ups and state returns, we will both be in at once, but only after we know the state has settled for the other, and we are safe to both go in. We each have our own rigs, so there is no passing anything around while deemzed. For large doses, sometimes if we are one after the other, I will let out the occasional word or idea, and my buddy notes it. It may be something like 'Grey corridor'' or ''Place holder entity on my back right'' or 'collapse at upper exhibit, coherence gate adjacent, missed the transition'' these shout outs are usually the 1st bits I will add to the journal. For large trips, the insights are usually not as clear cut as with the morning sessions, but with practice I can now usually recall 80-90% of the trip in detail. I still have some issues remembering the exact entry posture, or that precise moment I go from 'here' to 'there', what I call 'the blink', it is one of the things I am currently working on. Recall of that exact moment is mercurial at best. I am using finger postions in an attempt to add a somatic recall aspect. Still working on that....Not there yet

Now my large doses are not as 'scheduled' as my daily. I tend to go in when I feel called, or when I have specific practices from my daily sessions that I want to test in the full field experience. or when I just have a free night, which is not all the time! I would say that these days, it is around once every couple of weeks. The large trips also fuel the daily sessions' content. and vice versa, the morning sessions train for the big runs. They act together. A lot of content from the big trips come back in the dailies, and allow me to more fully digest them. The daily sessions are a way to more fully integrate the big ones. I have a saying ''Notice what changed on Tuesday, not what you saw on Saturday.'' I work with what actually happened in the trip, and place my focus on integration afterwards, not what I saw, but how it is living in me right now.
I have never had any issues with losing my grounding, or derealization, or losing touch with reality. Whatever words you prefer.
So really, for me, thedaily sessions are a form of meditation. A daily, deep, and very fulfilling meditation. My big runs, like you all, can be powerful, insightful, religious, intense,....but they are rarely difficult anymore. I can navigate the space better.
I don't know if that answered your question. if not, lemme know.

Yes it's expensive , but I probably spent that trying to find the one , I've got a draw full of them
don't tell the misses 😉. I got to say though, my arizer solo 1 I use for years up till the volcano has
Taken me to deepest depths , it's a excellent vape for deem , just takes a bit of getting use to .

Thanks so much for your comments. I actually have chapters, and chapters...a full book in fact of experience reports to share here, but since I use AI to aggregate my 36 years of newly scanned and digitized trip logs, and since the community here tends to make nasty comment about my use of AI, I do not share as much as I could. I was psyched to share all this stuff, now I am more...reserved.

I understand and would agree concurrently with this. Be discerning with sharing too much, here or in everyday life. It partially goes from the sacred to the profane if you disclose too much.

Sharing a deeply held experience or insight was never something you would write on a noticeboard for a bunch of unknowns to read. You will of course be able to discuss with others who may have had similar experiences but whether its worth it for the negatives that often come with it is up to you. The book is the way to go which avoids some of these issues, and even that will be curated no doubt. Your interfacing with the divine is between and for, you and that realm.

I share likewise somewhat but the deepest most profound experiences are simply not for sharing, at least not on a public forum.

I also think 'hynagogic DMT'' (again for lack of a better word) deserves much more study. There is a whole world in there that is not like the normal Deemz space at all. I must be honest though, it scares the piss out of me. I am not exagerating when I say they are among the absolute strangest states of conciousness I have ever lived. And I've popped out of my body more than once. That's is easy compared to Dreemzing (just made that word up! I like it!)
There is so much to this area yet to explore - particularly the relationship of psychedelics to naturally fostered alterted states like dreaming. This is pioneereing work and the fact you have such rigorous methodology for logging and analysis makes into a self study, its how this work can be done on basically an academic level and you are taking that approach to personal practice which is great.

I have never mixed harmalas with my spice. No yet. I have read many reports, and I have always been curious, but the thing is this: Time. One of the reasons I only do DMT in my older age (hehe) is time. Always time...In my youth, I could easily spend the whole week deep in LSD, MDMA' ridiclous amounts of mushrooms, etc. And in the morning, I was fine, ready for another round. That was then. Now, If I do a large schroom trip as I did last fall, it takes me 3 days to recover, And the kids don't care I am still not 100% ! hahah. Nope. Now, in my 50s, with work, family, kid's basketball practice, Dad's taxi service etc....All I can realistically afford to do, time wise, is deemz. Adding Harmalas negates the speedy aspect of Deemz that keeps me coming back! If I am lucky, and get a few days to mysell this summer, I would like to try. But I cannot easily see a possibility where I have a whole day or more to myself...I wish! ONe can dream!

My method is to drink oral brewed peganum harmala tea an hour before smoking...the trip is still brief but extended to about 40 mins. It easier to retain what you have and the character of it also changes, although I actually have very little experience with pure DMT by itself as this has always been the standard way of partaking for me, they are 'made for each other' and the rapidity of straight DMT is not my preferred method although you have acclimatised to it. I actually think it's much more accessible then you think and will fit very well with your approach particularly if you do for sessions when you have a little bit more time.

I also have extensive experience with 5 MEO going back at least 10 years. Here is why it is not my daily driver. Yes, it has fantastic meditative qualities (sometimes more, deeper and better than NN) but the issue is relevance, and context. Let me explain. With 5MEO, there is very little left of ''me'' in there. it is not a state I can easily 'train' for, because, as I mentioned, ''I'' am not there for most of the experience. With NN, I retain a greater sense of agency, of ''Me-ness'' if that makes any sense. I tend to use this window of neuroplasticity for training. Training the actual DMT state reactions, transition training, breathing, focus, attention...(these are the DMT specific teachings I work on everyday) and then I also try and train myself for skills I can apply to daily life. I find it is very hard with 5MEO, compared to NN. With NN, I can enter with a purpose, and stay conherent enough to keep that purpose center of mind. I can 'guide' the content, not control it, guide it, gently. I am also getting very good at remembering almost every detail of my sessions now. Something I cannot do with 5MEO.

No, this makes full sense. From discussion with a few now it seems that 5-MeO-DMT touches the terrain of full Godhead experience or immersion in Emptiness and cessation of self. However while this may be a pinnacle crowning experience, it may actually be less useful on the path of meditative self development which is where other psychedelics come in.

In the meditation traditions they say "you need to develop your sense of self fully before you can transcend and let go of it" so this fits and prevents a potential spiritual bypassing tendency from developing by going straight to Godhead and neglecting the individual embodied self we dwell as most of the time.

With NN, I am sitting on several years worth of powder. I control everything. It costs almost nothing. And given I go through more than a cart a month, making my own is the only viable option. That being said,. 5MEO has presented me with life changing points of view about everythign including the ''me'' in there. But it's not as useful as a daily teacher for me as NN.

Yup, I have several years worth of Enhanced Leaf and Peganum Harmala, although frequency of use for me is roughly weakly or fortnightly for these slightly longer trips along with a monthly strong acid trip. The leaf is harsher to smoke on the lungs but since its not so frequent its ok, and I personally never liked having large amounts of white powder lying around so leaf works in that regard.
what is your technique? What's your 20 min check in like?...I'll try your version for sure! Here is my breathwork template, with the observations I have made, Also, my psychedelic gym 'clipboard' / checklist as well as my re-entry/reconstruction map. I hope some of this may be useful to you!. All this info was extracted from my logs. All info has been lived, this is all 1st person knowledge.

Thanks for sharing some of this book material, looks great and will help some for sure.

Why not open a separate thread for your AI logs and state your approach beforehand? I doubt that anyone would be against it, and you'll get responses from people who are actually interested in your way of doing things.
Indeed, that would be fine. Or share the raw material, before an LLM reverted it to the mean. In any case, thank you for not dumping loads of generated text in the Nexus anymore. I enjoy your personal writing BTW.

About the experience starting in the out-breath, that's not my experience. Or not necessarily. If I hold my breath long enough, it starts before I breathe out, as one would expect. However, as it starts, it becomes more and more uncomfortable to keep holding my breath, so I tend to breathe out. But it doesn't seem to me to be the trigger for the experience, although I understand how it could come to seem so.

Also, when not holding for too long, it may start well after the out-breath. At least for me.

Thanks for sharing your routine. In my case, I usually prefer to vape it at night, doing it while still sleepy feels somewhat "violent" to my mind. But if you are able to do it fine, it has to be a great way to wake up, better than any coffee I bet.

In the yogic tradition, it is said that the in-breath activates the sympathetic nervous system and the out-breath activates the parasympathetic one. From another angle, the in-breath reaffirms your "I" sense and the out-breath dissolves it. This should be even more pronounced in a DMT journey. I feel we're just tapping into the natural workings of our body system, so going with how nature intended it is best. Breath-holding is an advanced practice, and I only believe in natural breath holds, which come on their own.

Maybe some of this is of interest here. Anyhow, I agree with the old masters that working with the breath is a sure way to go deeper and control the journey.
I share likewise somewhat but the deepest most profound experiences are simply not for sharing, at least not on a public forum.
I fully subscribe to this idea. In one of the reports here, a guy who worked with Amazonian shamans was told to keep a deep experience to himself for at least a few years to fully integrate it first. That's the way to go if you want to get the most out of it. Medicine practice is pretty intimate and should be approached accordingly. I guess each of us should decide what to share and when, respecting the process and teachings received. Further, the most profound experiences are beyond words anyway. Just read reports of 5-MeO-DMT users. Words simply can't touch it. They become poetry or a pointer at most.

@Qoniaq. Thanks for your sharing in this thread. I have recently started daily dosing, so the thread was timely. I've only been doing the increased frequency for a short time, but have already noticed a reduction in pre-flight anxiety and increased awareness of the entry process, though I still get some big surprises.

I have also tried smoking in bed shortly after waking and yes it was a different experience, but I suspect not conducive to constructive exploration. Also, not good in winter as I prefer it to be light outside at the start of a session, even if I can't see the outside after the second vape 😂

I had not heard that, but it makes sense. The in-breath makes one more aware of one's body and the out-breath is a letting go.

Interestingly, I find that on the come-down from a DMT experience (NN and 5) a strong but measured in-breath re-activates the experience in some aspects. But then, a strong measure in-breath is alway a good thing 😊.

Also, my psychedelic gym 'clipboard' / checklist as well as my re-entry/reconstruction map. I hope some of this may be useful to you!. All this info was extracted from my logs. All info has been lived, this is all 1st person knowledge.
Just looking through these graphics they are great. Although as has been mentioned for me the experience starts during the initial breathhold which I usually try to hold as long as possible but at least for a count of 20. There is a distinct shift in consciousness observable that actually lets me know whether its going to be an intense journey or not, but yes this process continues during the outbreath for another 30 seconds or more. This is while on Harmalas which most say slows and draws out the comeup which is interesting.

You seem like someone who read Gamebooks as a kid. Just because your graphics remind me of some of these and its an uncommon medium nowadays. Of course we know that there are resonances of the psychedelic experience in fantasy and sci-fi, because these genres draw upon mythology and folklore which is itself rooted in the deep psyche and awareness of different planes of existence. Its just that commonly in the modern culture it gets relegated to this but we are experiencing resonances of these domains.

Your infographics remind me a lot of the Falcon series in particular that used to be among my favourites when young.
