Best extraction method

Hey guys, I'm still relatively new to DMT even though I have a handful of experiences over the last year or so. Started off really strong, and then I took a long break. And now I'm back...I'm learning a lot about it still. And it's such an intriguing molecule, and it has so much benefit to it. I don't mind the intensity, because I am naturally an intense guy. And welcome experiences. And its benefits. I'm relieved that it's overall easy enough to harvest on your own as that saves you a lot of money... and it gives you a lot of stock for the future. Plus it gives you quality control. So you know where it's coming from.

My biggest question (is because I'm not familiar with extraction methods at all) I only use STB... Is there an extraction technique that is known as the best or the most efficient? I wouldn't ask, because STB is straightforward, but I'm not going to lie and say that I enjoy the process. The siphoning off the top with the Turkey baster is a little tedious for me. I would love something a little more streamlined. That would make the extraction process easier.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully, I'm not breaking any rules with this post. If so I apologize in advance, just let me know.

After reading through all AB teks available here, I decided to combine what I think are the best aspects of each. I wrote this for my own reference. Let me know if there is anything which can be improved.


1 Plant preperation:

- Obtain 50g mhrb (Mimosa Hostilis root bark)
- Cut root bark small and powder it to dust with a blender
- The plant material is prepared

2 Acidification:

Option A
- Have 200 ml of distilled water ready
- Add acid of your choice until pH 2-4 is reached
- Add the mhrb to the solution
- Shake hard to get it all mixed up
- Let it sit and soak for 3 days...

Okay so I've search the relevant areas of the forum for a statement that says which extraction tek would be best (easiest, least likely to encounter problems) for a first timer. From what I can tell its the STB. But I just want to make sure so I can study the tek a bit before the day comes.

TEK Thread 'Best Tek for 250g Of Mimosa Hostilis Bark?'

I'm sort of confused, wondering what the best tek would be for this, I did a standard STB tek on 50g and got like literally nothing for my yeild and i still dont know why. I want to try to do a 250g extraction aiming to get 2g minimum but hopefully more than that with the 2% yeild. Anyways what tek should I do to best maximize my yeild for this?

Quality of product, easy of use, time involved etc. SWIM is attempting the QT's extraction for students and it seems to be going alright, although it will be sometime before the yield. SWIM tried a technique listed on shroomery.org (the one that skipped defatting) and had little success with smoking the end product. It was very harsh on the lungs and he thinks he used far to much lye. He is fond of the technique though for it's simplicity but next time he wants to make sure he gets a yield of highly active spice. What tek, in your opinion, is the best for extraction? Keep in mind, what is desired is the perfect balance of ease and effeciency. He would just like to hear your thoughts.

Hi this is my first post since my introduction so here it goes. My buddy has aquired some powdered root bark in the past and did much research before extraction attempts and still no success. He isolated the first few problems but on the final try he got a few white flakes on a plate from 28g of mhrb using the lazymans tek. he scraped those up and they weren't very flakey the were kiinda buttery almost. He put some on foil and lit a lightron under it and said he felt very mild effects and absolutely no visuals. He said he just felt zoney. He used nomans before with no sucess but he figured...

Hello everyone. I wanted to share with you all my experience using a sonicator to extract DMT from MHRB. It was very simple. A lot easier than any typical A/B or STB extraction. It took 4.5 hours from start to completely cleaned up and solvent in the freezer.

Supplies:
- 100g MHRB
- Distilled water
- 5% distilled vinegar
- Sodium hydroxide
- Naptha
- Vacuum filtration apparatus (buchner funnel, hand pump, flask w/side arm)
- 375 watt sonicator with 3/4" horn
- Various sized beakers
- Separatory funnel
- Stand with circular attachment and clamp attachment

So I had great success with my first extraction, 100g root bark providing about a gram of clean white crystals with Noman's tek. Not sure on the exact yield because I started using the first crystals before my final pull was done but it was decent enough. I have the rest of a kilo left and I'm wondering what to do with it. What seems to be the best thing to do is just stick with what works, and do several 100g extractions until I'm out of bark. This should theoretically have the same result every time as long as I perform it the same way.

So this is the next advancement in D-Limonene extraction teks. It was thought of for the Nexus by usweyoume. This tek is designed to use LITTLE space with lots of bark for HIGH yields. From what i'm hearing it's less about the best tek and maybe about the best process for pulling the naptha/nps?

If so, i would highly recommend getting a pipette pump and glass pipettes, between 10 and 50ml in volume. Make sure to match the pump to the pipette size.
It seems like it would be the same as turkey baster but it is a phenomenal upgrade.

Also from a tek perspective, if you wanna keep the simplicity of stb but take it to a slightly elevated level, go with the max ion tek. It's basically "STB premium". That's a technical term, right @Transform ?

No commercial-scaled extractions and reckless “spreading”

Might give the lazyman's Tek a go the next time, I'm guessing addng a couple of freeze/thaw cycles to a baseified mix could benefit this, though overall I read that TEK as more time is best, though I think I'd freeze precip rather than waste all the naphtha.

I've got 3x 125g powdered batches of frozen acidified, slow-cooked MHRB that has had multiple freezing cycles, so my next 3 extracts will get based 125g at a time. I'll maybe give the baseification some extra time to do its work, I last got about 1.2g out of my last extract of this size but feel I could have done better.
