Rising Star
I just watched this movie on Netflix. It stars Michael Cera as a self-absorbed young American who has traveled to Chile to drink San Pedro tea. There he meets a woman named Crystal Fairy at a party and unthinkingly invites her to join him on his roadtrip with his Chilean friends/guides to drink the cactus on an idyllic beach. To his surprise and great annoyance she takes him up on his invitation.
I thought the movie was hilarious and often poignant. There are a couple glaring continuity issues that experienced users may find annoying. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I'll let you spot them for yourself.
It is a partially autobiographical story written and directed by one of the characters.
Anybody else seen this? Thoughts?
