DisEmboDied
Rising Star
When I fell very depressed, overwhelmed, dull and gray, a low-medium dose of DMT always brings me right out of it, the rest of my day is beautiful and happy, and I am happy for the next week or even two.
Though every once in a while I feel worse afterwards, after a beautiful experience, because I come back only to realize that this default world is the bad trip, haha. That always is a downer.
Anyone else out there do DMT for depression on occasion?
A main thing about this is that people always talk about set and setting, and that one should not do psychedelics when feeling depressed or frustrated or in a bad mood, whatever. I do think that the setting though matters a lot, like say doing DMT in a crowd of people making fun of you instead of alone in a forest
Anyway, at least for DMT, it seems that doing it depressed or happy doesn't really matter and can have varying results. So when I hear about set and setting for DMT, I think "Hmmm, I prefer to do it while depressed because I feel absolutely wonderful afterwards." Maybe it is a contrast effect or just helps boost brain chemicals...
