Hello all.

I have experimented with various types of dmt but I am finally ready to try the purest possible. Before i try it, I was just wondering if there is any way to confirm that it is pure. I got it in 3 different coffee filters. Yellowish white powder, each getting a little lighter in color. It kinda smells like some sort of incense with a hint of mothballs. I believe this post follows the forums rules and im terribly sorry if it doesnt. I just dont want to smoke anything thats not what i think it is because I stay away from anything other than bud, mushrooms and dmt. Im sure a picture is against the rules but if not id be glad to upload one for confirmation.

Pictures are allowed, though it is generally recommended to re-save the file twice before uploading to a third-party website or attaching to your forum post. Re-save once as .bmp (to remove metadata that .bmp doesn't support) and then re-save again as .jpg/.png for uploading. Beware that identifying using a photo is not a reliable way of checking for impurities.

Check out the FAQ for answers as to your color/purity question. Pure DMT is clear, but even a minor impurity could change the color. White DMT may still have colorless impurities. Minor impurities may or may not be OK to smoke, which is why performing your own extraction is important for identifying these impurities. Some color could be from other active alkaloids present in the bark that can affect your trip.

If you want the purest from your batch I would suggest trying the lightest color you see, but that is not a fully reliable indicator of purity without knowing the details of your extraction. Read through the FAQ and threads that it links to and you will be much more satisfied with the information.

I have skimmed through it.. I guess my question was, is there anyway to know for sure theres nothing else in it.. i wanna make sure its just dmt and nothing else. I read about the evap being clean and all but i didnt make this myself so idk how to do that.

Why not try a recrystallization a few times, that should remove any leftovers?

You should really stick to product that you extract yourself.

That is clearly, and logically, the best way to know what you have!
