I tend to agree. Even if reality is a dream, what about the dreamer?

Maybe the whole of our reality is a challenge to see how we treat ourself, reflected in how we treat everything else, all being one.

That's a healthy way to look at it. What can you say about personal versus collective reality? Is there a difference?

Personal reality is greatest part of the game. Fully immersed, it is required. Collective reality exists when multiple concious agents agree on it. Both see tree, the tree is agreed reality.

It makes the air vibrate. "Sound" can be those vibrations (sound1) or some being's experience (sound2). It would make sound1 and not sound2. The question is what is the cause of a sound2.

Sound1 needs no perceiver. But sound2 needs no emitter! I may hear a tree falling in a dream.

Sound2 still needs a cause to happen, even if it's a dreamlike occurrence. Furthermore, sound2 needs to be cognized for it to be considered sound2.

Yes. That's the enigma to me. Often the cause seems to be a sound1. But not always. Is a sound2 caused by a sound1 different from an internal one? I don't know.

I believe they should be the same. From the mind's perspective, everything has the same taste. Our goal is to realize this experientially.
