It was about 3 years ago when I first experienced what I am about to discuss. Although at the time I was unaware of the magnitude of what was happening as I thought it was merely a hallucination at that point. Now I know that is not the case. In fact, I wish it was a hallucination that way I could go back to living my life without knowing what I now know. Please understand everything I am about to detail is truth. On everything I love the following accounts are 100% factual and the implications of what I'm about to say extend beyond the realm of conventional understanding. Everything we thought we knew about the constraints of physics and reality have been tossed out the window for me. Ok here we go....

Let me start off by introducing myself: My name is Nate and I have a bachelors of science in psychology education and just about have my masters in clinical mental health. My experience in psychedelics is probably above average but not sure if I would consider myself a psychonaut. I have taken N,N DMT hundreds of times, LSD around a hundred times, etc etc. About three years ago I had taken a mid-level dose of N,N DMT and the person I was with turned into a completely different person. Everything else in the room was the same but the person I was with changed into somebody else completely. This happened multiple times with a variety of different people and each time it did I became more and more accustomed to it. At this point I was still thinking I was hallucinating. However, one time the person I was with changed into somebody who was exceptionally heavier than they are in "real" life. The person I was with was not under the influence of DMT and when they looked down at their legs, they freaked out. They were seeing what I was seeing as well. That was the first time I started to really question everything that I thought defined "reality". After about ten minutes they went back to "normal" and from that point on my "research" took off. I have countless instances like this. Here is just a few of the situations that I have experienced which absolutely defy everything physics says is possible: 1.) I have smoked N,N DMT and looked down to see my hands were incredibly smaller than what they really are. The person with me, who does not use any substances at all, looked down at my hands in utter disbelief. They could see they were 100% not my hands. They took a picture and the picture showed the small hands. (Yes I am aware how insane this makes me sound but I promise you everything I am saying is true) After about an hour we looked at the pictures again and my hands were now back to "normal" in the picture. 2.) After a mid-level dose of N,N DMT I was coming down from some pretty nice closed eye visuals and I reached in my pocket to pull out some money to hand my girlfriend as she was going to go to the store for us. The 20 dollar bill I pulled out was unlike anything I have ever seen before. It felt like it was fake money and the writing on it was indecipherable. I said to my gf "babe look at this 20 does it look weird" and she saw exactly what I was seeing. After about 10 minutes the money changed back. I have about 50 instances like this where "reality" change for me and somebody who was not under the influence corroborated what I was seeing. I do not mean like they kind of saw change, I mean THE CHANGE WAS UNDENIABLE. I have searched high and low for somebody posting about similar experiences and I can find nothing. SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE ME SOME FEEDBACK HERE.

TL;DR

Nate, a psychology/clinical mental-health graduate student with extensive psychedelic experience, describes repeated experiences after N,N-DMT in which he and sober observers allegedly perceived physical reality itself changing, rather than merely experiencing subjective hallucinations.

Examples include:
  • People physically appearing as completely different people, sometimes with dramatically different body sizes.
  • His hands appearing much smaller, which a sober observer allegedly also saw and photographed.
  • A $20 bill appearing physically altered, with writing becoming unrecognizable, which his sober girlfriend allegedly saw as well.
  • In these cases, the changes reportedly persisted for several minutes and then reverted to normal, sometimes even in photographs.
  • He says he has experienced roughly 50 similar incidents and emphasizes that sober people independently perceived the same changes.
  • These experiences led him to question whether conventional physics and our understanding of reality are fundamentally incomplete.
  • He is asking whether anyone else has experienced or documented similar phenomena, because he has been unable to find comparable reports.
Core question: Are these genuinely shared/objective alterations of reality, or is there another explanation for multiple people apparently perceiving the same changes?

I had a similar experience, although 5 g of mushrooms usually do not affect me very strongly due to what seems to be a chronic tolerance on this occasion, they did cause some degree of mental confusion. I had difficulty reading some small text, so I asked a sober person to read it for me. What surprised me was that they also seemed to experience some degree of reduced cognitive functioning.

An illusion is believing that what you see/experience is true.

Which automatically means that what we think is truly 'true' is also an illusion. 😁

This also means that the seeking of the ultimate 'truth' is a wild goose chase at best.

😉

Yeah, it all sounds like hallucinations to me. Although we should define what hallucinations and reality are, too ;)

Who said that your energetic state cannot influence others? I thought that was pretty obvious to anyone who has looked into psychology or how masses operate.
COVID-19, anyone?

My question would be: even if what you experienced really happened, why is that so huge and what does it change? I'm pretty sure that even if a pink elephant materialized out of thin air, I'd not be too surprised. Yes, I'd be shocked because a big animal suddenly appeared before me, but the process itself would not make me question reality. We know nothing about the world or ourselves. What the school curriculum brainwashed us into believing is as sound as fairy tales.

Your post is a good example of why I'd be cautious about just vaping DMT. You're interested in fireworks, otherworldly experiences, and shocking intensity. Real medicine always points back to you. What did you learn about yourself in these magical situations? Getting some deep insight about yourself would be huge.

🙏

Thank you. You have led me to a better understanding of how much we really do not understand.

I can offer no other explanation as to why the observers have witnessed undeniable alterations in reality. The examples I gave are just a few of many different yet similar experiences I have shared with others over the course of a few years. At this point I am really just wanting to gather some data that is quantifiable but before doing so wanted to post in these threads.
