Is there any float tankers here on the Nexus?
I would love to see some pictures of your tanks and also hear some trip reports.
Did you build your own or did you buy one?
Do you use it often or is it like the sauna you built in your midlife crisis?
...Just about any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated=)

I was always interested, I remember reading, i believe Huxley, something like people who take psychedelics with a group or with music at a party etc, are depriving themselves of the true power of psychedelics. To let your mind control everything. Thats why it was intriguing that Strassman had the subjects put on the blindfolds.

Also the movie altered states was cool, if not goofy(that part at the beginning was sweet with the girl on DMT)

Anyway My G/F got me a certificate at a place an hour and a half away and drove me for our valentines day present, Since you are sitting in salt water it really dehydrates you and afterward you feel very shaky and weird.

You musty shower before and after and have to wear waterproof earplugs. You get in this coffin type deal and lay in this water which is set to your body temp and you are strait floating in pitch black, you can still kinda hear through the water and you just zone out.

The first thing i noticed was my sense of time started to become obliterated, i got very anxious and wanted to open the door, i have always been into self meditation so i began my process. Then i noticed that i felt like i was floating, like the first time you some green.

I felt like i was tumbling through space and became disconnected from my body. I felt like i was in clouds like the space became thick and then next thing i new the lady was banging on the door telling me my hour was up.

It was a cool experience and they said that if you wanted to pay you could have someone stay after hours and could do as long as three hours but you had to drink a large amount of water half way through.

Leary had one in his home(they are only like 3,000) so does Joe Rogen supposedly, i heard somewhere that he will eat mushrooms and smoke DMT while waiting for them to kick in in his tank.

Anyway i have always wanted to go back but it wasn't cheap and they are few and far between. You can find them at like health and wellness centers and spas and stuff, They actually said it gets used very little, mostly by staff and they usually keep the door open to just relax(Lame).

Well thank you for taking your time to read this and let me know what you thing about Sensory Deprivation.

I would love to try it on aya or DMT where legal, as i prefer to be alone myself. last tie i drank i could not delve deep into the experience as me and my friend kept conversing

This is something I have always wanted to try. I am a big fan of lilly...one day I will build my own, when I own a house. Salvia quids sound perfect for this.. Id use it lots while sober as well for dreamwork and in combinaton with calea and other dream enhancers.

When I found out about LSD I used to take it among other people going out partying etc. Then one time everybody else fell asleep (I'm the only one I know that takes these things) and I was clear awake so I put my boomblaster as a pillow playing Discovery by Daft Punk and closed my eyes. I had the most amazing lightshow dancing before my eyes and ever since then I always (except with 2cb and ketamine) take psychedelics alone in the dark...well some mushroom trips in the forest daytime have also happened =)

I know of some float tanks in this town but they are like 50 pounds an hour or something...it's like they are getting away with murder. I can't put my wallet trough a traumatizing experience like that=).
