Happy 4-20 Eve everyone. Tomorrow is 4:20, the date that has become the global celebration of Cannabis.

Supposedly... In 1971, a group of friends at San Rafael High School, later known as the Waldos, agreed to meet at 4:20 PM, after sports practice, by the Louis Pasteur statue. A coded rally point to search for a rumored hidden cannabis crop. The mission usually ended with them lighting up anyway. No marketing team. No VC money. Just a code… 4:20 that spread through the culture and eventually amplified by bands like the Grateful Dead and later picked up by publications like High Times. Today it’s a global Cannabis holiday and a retail feeding frenzy!

Yep, weed is a net positive for me.
Its high time the UK ended prohibition and pushed towards a health based system versus a criminal based one. There would be net benefits here too in many areas.

ofc, we never really let that stop us, just that it leads to various suboptimal situations from time to time. Then there's the godawful "Psychoactive Substances Act" - urgh!

Meanwhile, cannabis decriminalisation in Germany has been beset by bureaucracy (mind-blowing, I know) even though one can now buy ready-to-go cannabis grow kits at the supermarket!
