New here so sorry if this sounds dumb.
I recently required a dmt vape. A disposable called [[MOD EDIT - removed]]. On the packaging it’s labeled a Nootropic Vape. Is this DMT or was I sold something else?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Tyrone, welcome to the Nexus. Please take a look at the Attitude page: Attitude Page - DMT-Nexus Wiki Particulary point 2.2: No discussion on selling, buying, sourcing, acquiring, pricing, trading, receiving, distributing, mentioning pending deliveries or smuggling of drugs

Let's say that you came across that vape in some other way. In any case, there's no way anyone here can know what it contains. It could have DMT, it could have some research chemical, or it could have nothing but vape juice. No way to know without analyzing it.

That is one reason among others why it's recommended to extract your own. It's not difficult: if you can follow a cake recipe and take some minimum safety precautions, you can do it. And if you come across any difficulties, many people here will be able to help.

I understand that. I guess I didn’t ask my question right.
I’m just trying to figure out if dmt and a nootropic are the same thing? Or are they two different things?

No worries.

"Nootropic" refers to the effect of promoting cognition, and to substances that have that as a main effect. The classic example is the -racetams like piracetam. While DMT can have a nootropic effect for some people at some doses, it's not normally considered a nootropic. So, no, they're not the same.

However that doesn't say much of whether that vape contains DMT or not. The manufacturer may be trying to market it as a nootropic, for whatever reason. The only way to know what it has is to analyze it.

Thank you. I’m new to all of this. I don’t know anyone irl that has any experience either so I’m learning as I go lol.

We've all been there. I still have a lot to learn, and don't know anyone IRL with experience either. So the Nexus has been very helpful.

If you are interested in extraction, take a look at the Nexian DMT Handbook. It has all the info you need to get started. Also take a look at the Wiki and the Resources sections. And use the search function, there's a lot of information in threads.

Also, if at some point you can't figure something out, don't hesitate to ask here.

Are there any details of any of its ingredients declared on the packaging? A decent, clear picture of the relevant text (if any) on the packaging might prove helpful, but bear in mind that even something like rosemary oil could be regarded as a nootropic.
