Oral active salvinorin a

@Magic stone, are we talking about Salvia divinorum?

I used to mix it with harmala brews, but it didn’t produce any noticeable effects. Later, I found out that the proper method was apparently to make a brew and hold the liquid in my mouth. I tried that as well, but still didn’t experience much, apart from some swaying motion.

I also read somewhere that wormwood can be toxic when burned as incense. I wonder whether it is safe to ingest, since I vaguely remember people reporting headaches after drinking wormwood tea.

Could you elaborate a bit on the effects you personally experienced from the tinctures you mentioned? Also, could you give a short explanation of how you made the tincture and approximately how much you took per dose?

Honestly, though, I think there are probably many things that "orally activate" Salvia. I've drunked it [sic] simply with Peppermint tea and felt strong, long-lasting effects. But yeah, see my other thread ^

: )

This spring I discovered a new strain/chemotype of artemisia taurica that is exceptionally bitter and strong in effects (the species is known to potentially have higher concentrations of thujone than absinthium). İt was giving a legitimately "psychedelic" euphoria and connection so I got a bit infatuated by it, and a few times combined it with salvinorin a containing salvia absconditiflora and rue. I noticed a powerful synergy and some serious "sacred" effects. Unfortunately after a while I noticed I was also getting some toxicity effects from the Artemisia - some form of short term neurological impairment and overstimulation - so I couldn't/didn't pursue the plant and the combination further.

Thanks for the mention @JosBoaz

Stopping by because this is extremely interesting. @dithyramb recently mentioned Artemisia synergy in my Salvine Tek thread, so I'm glad to see a second anecdotal report. I've yet to find any decent oral potentiators aside from lecithin (specifically the phosphatidylcholine fraction). I'll give this a shot with my Artemisia absinthium extract.

I have done cleanses with wormwood—usually taking it every morning for a month—and haven't noticed any impact on Salvine Tek tests. Perhaps they need to be taken simultaneously.

@Magic stone, can you go into more detail about quantities and varieties of Artemisia used? I'd also be curious to know how strong the effect is for you.

@Magic stone I did not figure out how to trigger oral salvia with wormwood tincture, so please update us when you have a minute.

It occurred to me that I have tried using ~2g of Salvia officinalis leaf powder to potentiate Salvine Tek—sage actually contains a decent amount of thujone. Though, that did little more than give me a stomach ache. My goal was actually to see if myrcene could intensify salvinorin A, but I consider it "inconclusive" since I don't know how much was actually absorbed in my gut. Mango or hops would likely be better sources.
