Hello,

SWIM has found pau d'arco at a local health food store and it is very finely powdered. He has been using it with caapi 10x and spice for the Golden Temporal changa blend.

After re-reading the Pau threads, he noticed that most people speak of Pau as a finely shredded wood chip moreso than a powder. Can anyone tell SWIM if they should smoke the same or if one should be easier to work with than the other for smoking and/or infusing? The powder is very difficult to spoke by itself (needs a lot of heat it seems).

Thanks!

SWIM has only seen the shredded wood, but she also notes that it takes much more heat than her other blends to get going.

Id think that shredded is easier to smoke than powdered. With the shredded, I give it one good flame and get it glowing, then towards the end of the rip, id need to give it another quick flame. But in all a little more flame than with say Caapi leaves.

Try and get hold of some shredded Pau and check what the difference is.

Thanks! Heh...SWIM is killing himself with shipping fees...lol. He reads about new herbs on here daily that he wants/needs! Worth it, though, I'm sure.

Smoking powder seems like a pain.
The shredded is a bit harder to get lit, but if you run it through a standard herb grinder prior to infusion, there is really no difference.
Pau is the way to go.

All the costs seem to stack up quickly, but think of the quantity being received for those costs.
Good deal says I.
Most of these herbs are even carried through reputable ebay sellers for quite cheap.
