Piracetam plus Ayahuasca??

Migrated topic.

I searched through the forum, yet did not find definitive answers.

I have been using daily piracetam of 1,000mg up to 2,500mg for approximately three weeks. I only did one 1,000mg dose today... and may or may not do an even lower dose (500mg) tomorrow morning before my Ayahuasca tea ceremony later that night. The tea is traditional leaves and vine from Brazil.

Am I going to be okay? Will the residual piracetam screw up my ayahuasca journey? Thank you in advance for any suggestions or feedback!

Hey johnalan909, welcome to the DMT-Nexus!

As far as I know harmala alkaloids are not contraindicated with nootropics, if anything you should just experience a slight potentiation.

I have full intentions of beginning a long term 2 gram a day piracetam regimen, and I will also be dosing harmalas.
I will keep everyone updated for sure.

Welcome to the forums! I think you would be fully safe to do such a combination.

Thanks for your responses!

I'll let everyone know how my session goes tomorrow night with doing very low dose of piracetam in the morning followed by hefty glass of tea in the evening. Ayahuasca actually needs zero potentiating and would rather not hinder the teachings provided... hopefully it will not.

I've been sitting on the sidelines utilizing this wonderful site. I will slowly begin contributing too.

As far as I have found all nootropics including the racetams work well with spice. Liquid sources of B12 amplify the effects. Choline is metabolized by the racetams and thus supplementation is advised. I recommend Alpha GPC as I have heard it crosses the blood brain barrier better.

I did my second traditional ayahuasca session last night. I did not do any piracetam that day. I received no "spankings" from the tea from any residual left in me from the previous 12 day regimen... however I had the message that none other is needed than regular sessions of the tea.

I drank a very hefty glassful. The visions were definitely strong and bright.

I think I am not going to do the piracetam for awhile. I plan on another tea session in two weeks.

The tea is sacred medicine... healing.

Johnalan,

Just wanted to drop my two cents in here. I have used Piracetam and Ayahuasca in combination, and I found the side-effects a bit worrying. I would be lying there in the Ayahuasca trance, and every ten minutes or so, I would feel what seemed to be a powerful electric shock pass through my head and neck. If you've ever held on to an electric fence or used a stun gun on yourself, you know how your body and muscles will spasm uncontrollably. I found myself doing that, spasming momentarily, almost as though in the grip of a miniature seizure. I found it profoundly unsettling, and it's only happened when I've taken Piracetam and Ayahuasca in combination, never with either alone.

I don't know that it's dangerous, but it's certainly unsettling.
