Residue in E-Mesh Glass Drip Tip

freepete

Rising Star
Trying to determine if this issue is related to my extract or my e-mesh process, which I am still dialing in.

My glass drip tip accumulates a tacky, clear/white residue during use. It does have the "new sneaker" smell, and i don't sense any other chemical aroma. It has the appearance of a window that requires washing. Long story short, I filled the tube with water and the residue rinsed out without any qtip/scraping required. I measured this water at a PH of 8.

S2B: 100 mhrb, 100 heptane
-25 salt + 8 salt to resolve emulsion
-25 naOH (reached PH12)
-re-ex'd twice and included water washes, however, I did not add sodium carbonate to water wash steps.

Concerned that this could be residual base in my extract - at this point I'm expecting to run an additional re-ex with sodium carbonate step included.
Alternatively thinking this could potentialy be a result of emesh overheating material, resulting in heavy/tacky vapour.

Any experience/thoughts appreciated, thanks.
