First off, I need to apologize. In my inexperience with the forum, the other day I was precariously close to crossing the line asking about sources. It was not my intention to violate the rules. Message received. I am not asking in this post, or in any future posts, any questions concerning those specifics. (I fully understand the rule. Makes perfect sense).
I have stumbled upon some reports of seizure of shipments of Mimosa. And the feds, in their wisdom, using the entire weight of the plant material as the amount of DMT. Ie, 500g mimosa=500g DMT. So relatively small amounts of DMT can quickly become a serious federal case.
I'm interested in a small extraction for personal use, no interest at all in anything for the market. But it would freak me out to have the men in black knocking on my door with a warrant.
Does anyone know of reported cases of shipments (from within the US, to another address in the US) being seized? I'm talking a reasonable amount--lets say 1kg at the absolute max.
I might just be paranoid, but as it turns out I'm a university professor, and being hauled off in handcuffs is probably not something I'd prefer to put on my tenure review documents.
Having it seized, and getting screwed out of my money I could deal with. Having it seized and being arrested for it I can do without. Looking around the web, I keep hearing "grey area". Ie, the plant material is not exactly illegal to purchase, but occasionally they take it anyway, and sometimes show up at your house.
