Stacking niacin with psychedelics?

Can anyone share experiences with the so-called Stamets stack of psilocybin, lion's mane and flushing niacin? Just a marketing push or is there something special to it?

The "niacin flushing pushes chems into brain hypothesis" is of interest. Has anyone explored any other psychedelic with nacin?

If Stamets is right, all sorts of Dee Em Tees would benefit from this...

I have but I dunno what to say. Do you like niacin on its own? I don’t mind the flush in minor doses.

My wife tried 1/4 of a niacin pill and was extremely sick. She flushed super hard and vomited a few times and won’t ever touch it again.

I don’t remember the doses of these but they were just regular niacin from the supermarket. One pill is very uncomfortable and I think my blood pressure went too low.

I dunno about niacin. I am undecided.

I haven't tried it. It's interesting that in the 50s Abraham Hoffer believed (and supposedly found in a study that failed to replicate) niacin megadoses to be effective to stop an LSD trip.

I echo this. I've never gotten that ill, but my experiences with niacin flushes are not something I'd care to repeat, especially if I had a few 'shrooms in me. I find the effects of niacin to be at least uncomfortable, and at most alarming in terms of cardiac and circulatory effects.

From my own research on the niacin subject, Stamets is 100% bogus on it and he's just hyping his nonsense patent. Zero evidence was provided. Physiological logic is non existent.

I have tried 500 mg niacin and it's textbook skin flush, prickly and heat thing. It's not exactly uncomfortable, just really weird bodily and skin sensation. I kinda like the warm feeling, the prickly feeling not that much. Doesn't feel like it would be interesting during any type of trip, even if it is a microtrip, though the stack claims only 100 mg.

Lion's mane is another matter which I have to look up in detail and test. @harmala_afficianado can you share anything on it?
