Yeah, good healthy raw milk would have probably been better, speaking to a local and most excellent purveyor of cheeses he tells me that science is experimenting with using cheese to repopulate food bacteria in people. But I totally agree, visits to Doctors here in the UK get the bare minimum of actual knowledge before the lack of knowledge kicks in! Between myself and my wife we have figured out multiple issues ourselves because doctors don’t know enough food/diet stuff and rely too heavily on vitamins and mineral guidelines as being good for everyone, which they are not. Now, would that happen if you were living on an organic farm consuming your own produce? I highly doubt it. Whatever happened with the dairy industry, it was not for our benefit. It's good that you were able to sort out your situation yourself. Medical diagnostic practice, or the lack thereof, is another big topic. Maybe it's better in some places, but I've only seen examples of complete stupidity locally.
As soon as a person tests just over the minimum level the docs class that as being all tickety-boo and it’s “No further action”.
This rant could go on and on, I’d like to see a system in the UK NHS that tests people’s levels each year and gives a person the information to help correct bad levels via life choices and supplements. I feel we would have a medically cheaper and healthier society without as much need for later life interventions of pharmaceuticals.
Literally empower people to help themselves.
