VG vs. B-loads and a difficult experience

I had a friend recently want to try some of my spice extracted from mimosa, he had not smoked it in a while and he would like to go back. So far every experience has been from the VG his last dose in the VG was 60 mg and the trip was strong but weak at the same time. Im not sure if he finished it fast enough before the onset. He dident really like how long the vg took to smoke so he asks me if i have anything else to smoke out of to make it quicker and i show him my 2 foot glass on glass w/ perks and a carbon filter.

Sitting with slight anxiety i pack him maybe a little less than 60 mg sandwiched in MJ in the bowl. I tell him that this is probably going to be more intense and different from the VG and other experiences because your taking this all at once. I give him a minuet to collect himself and meditate. After about 15 minuets he was ready for his voyage.......................... or so he thinks.

I light the lighter for him and he starts inhaling and filling the entire bong with the harsh plastic vapor. He clears the whole 60mg! I was pretty suprized at this because my utensil is so large and i put a decent amount of weed on the bottom so it wouldn't fall through. He holds it in.........exhales, and i watch as his eyes dilate and he lays down.

While he lays i can sense something wrong,almost like a danger. He sits up extremely fast in a panting daze and he shouts HOLY SHIIIIIIIIITTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like hes being tortured hes saying HELP ME GUYS!!!! OH MY GOD!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! as if hes pleeing for his life, He says everybody's name to help him and nobody has any idea what to do because this was their first time witnessing a dmt experience.(great first introduction:?) so once all this happened i grab his hand and tell him every thing is completely fine, everything is in perfect order, your safe. There was no getting through to him at all though. i don't even think he could see us at that time.

He screams through the whole trip not wanting to accept his forced journey. And when he came out he was crying scared. I hate to say this but he had the most difficult experience ive ever seen and he was like a zombie for a week. What suprized me again was the fact he had smoked this dose before with the VG and dident have this much of an intense experience. He said that that was the scariest thing he has ever had happen to him in his life and this guy doses an average heroic dose of 10g shrooms so i dident think he would have big problems.

So basically what i learned from this whole experience is to be prepared for anything, Glass bongs seem a lot more effective than VG's, make sure the astronaut is ready for the trip because i don't think he completely knew what he was getting himself into. and DMT can bring back dark memories and recesses in your mind.

And btw how can i help my friend come out of his mindfuck hes stuck in?

It's not for everybody, it takes guts to take the leap, the kind of guts your friend didn't have(but only few newbs would have for such a dosage).

Glass bongs seem a lot more effective than VG's

I believe this is true for a person who doesn't know how to use VG or GVG properly. There are many factors that make successfull vaporization.

60mg in VG taken properly is waaay too much.

Just say to your friend that it's over now and looking in the past doesn't do any good. Well at least he won't be going through it again.

AND WHAT WERE YOU THINKING OFFERING SUCH A KILLER DOSE TO A NEWB??!!

Just because he didn't manage to use the VG you should have known better how intense it can be if taken all in properly(bong or whatever). Why didn't you just pack him 25mg into the bong?

It's possible to break through as low as 20mg if vaporized properly in single inhalation.


Stuff like this can be expected if you don't do your research and don't use caution, ESPECIALLY WHEN DOSING. This is to everybody who is new to DMT and reads this. Unless of course you want your ass handed to you.:!:

And yes i know the VG definitely takes skill me and my friends have smoked out of it many many times and we still dont understand how to get a good breakthrough on it i have seriously tried every possible interaction with it low flame high flame torch flame bic flame smoke aim the peace down, up, sideways, weed over the dmt no weed over dmt ive used parsley doing the same thing along with sage. and i have looked at how to smoke it many times on this site as well but i have no idea what im doing wrong.

and also for the record he has broken through about 5 times i dont understand how it would just screw him over and give him the worst experience of his life like that. He said it brought back the worst memories of his life. he probably just cant cope with terrible memories.

I suppose your problem is with the temperature or screen. Use copper mesh screen 3-6mm thick preferrably, make it the size of the bowl.

5 breakthroughs is not much and it can "ass whoop" at any point of explorations. I doubt he has tried such doses yet? especially if he have used only "wrongly applied" VG before? It's unfortunate but a person who does DMT should always know it can whoop you, it's part of the nature of DMT and life in general.

I believe it was just a dosing accident and all that the user could do is get over it(time will heal him anyway).

I suggest you learn the use of VG(temperature, screen, lenght of inhalation etc) and learn to dose very carefully. As I said earlier it's possible to breakthrough as low as 20mg taken in single inhalation.

i dident see that last part. hes not a newb hes been through the rabbit hole about 5 times, he just had a bad experience. and he has had a killer expereince on the vg and it was never "offered" to him. he asked me for the same dose he had through the vg and so i gave it to him through the bong like he wanted. i just dident realize at the time were vaping wrong so thats why i gave him a big dose. i dident mean for that to happn.

No problem it was just an accident and those happen.

5 breakthroughs can be considered the newb stage easily. I wouldn't dare to touch 60mg with bong or VG and I've had about 170 breakthroughs(hard to count) and several milder experiences. And I'm a newb.
I am always very careful about everything when it comes to DMT, and it still gives the occasional ass whoop.

Chore boy copper mesh works great, you can get it on ebay if you can't get it locally. Use nexus search for "copper" or "mesh" to find instructions. I actually couldn't get success with my GVG until I bought chore boy scrubbers for screens.

Bad trip is bad trip(but it isn't necessarily always bad, there is often something to learn from them, such as facing your fears), ride it out or if you can move to another place to end it quicker(worked once for me). Tough rides is part of DMT and if one isn't ready for them then I guess DMT isn't for him/her. To some tough rides happen more often and to others almost never.

Bro I said already three times learn to use your genie:thumb_up:
Get copper scrubber mesh or if you can't find it locally, get stainless steel. Then make it perfect size fitting to the bowl and 3-6mm thick, slightly pressed together, then load the spice in exact middle of the mesh. start low, 15mg, try to take it all in single inhalation and keep over 7sec down. Use the search function for rest info on that.
Combusted DMT is wasted DMT, but some have managed to sandwich with bong but it needs more material, just learn to use the genie precisely and you can begin to see the heavens and hells of hyperspace(hopefully none of the hell):thumb_up:

thanks for the knowledge tele also a funny thing i tried a few days ago was putting the vape peice of the VG in my bowl peice of my bong. it actually worked and had the same effects as the bong and you can still save the dmt like the vg. you should try it one day when u have a lil extra spice. im so recommending this and i dont think ive read about any one trying it

yeah I know it's great, I googled it once "vaporgenie bong", I haven't yet tried it because I have only Glass genie(have used the wooden though). If one just gets the threaded tube for the bong one is ready to roll. It's actually great as one can fill the chamber, exhale, and then inhale, and boom. I recommend you try it after you get the mesh screen, and compare if the pipe or VG bong works better for you. Remember to use torch lighter, keep the tip about 1-3 cm above the vaporgenie. If you need help with making proper screen(didn't use the search properly), then ask it here. You will succeed most likely.

Just don't use water in the bong,(altough might have no effect) Ice at most.

And again, considering that you have had only mild effects from the genie, START LOW, 10-15mg then increase the dose 2-5mg. And remember to empty the genie before applying more spice. Just to avoid excess surprises(well isn't DMT a surprise each time by itself)

It's interesting though how the user "boypony" reported success when placing the spice on top of the filter(which I find rather useless considering the efficiency of proper screen).

LoccdatDMT, how long has it been since this happened? Is he feeling better yet? I use a bong but with a bulb vaporizer. A friend and I decided we would work up to 60mg. I ended up stopping at 45mg, he took the whole 60mg. His experience was very strong, to say the least, and was terrifying as well. When he came back he was really emotional. He told me he didnt feel right until over a week.

Things that helped him work through what he had experience and help him integrate it was reading other "bad trips" on this web site. I recommend you have your friend do the same. He might relate to one or more, and it will help him atleast a little.

Tele - I think it is possible. The filter acts just like the copper scrubber. But the only thing is you might burn the spice or the filter gets clogged up. Sort defeats the purpose of the whole vaporizing idea. Might as well have a normal pipe and order the ceramic filter by itself, cheaper.

It's kind of like getting a cell phone because it is portable, then plugging it in to the walls power supply every time you use it. Might as well get a plugin phone....

But with devices such as bulb bong there is a part of it going to waste most often due to too much heat. Therefore it totally depends on the device what kind of effects will 60mg give. I always wonder about the erowid guideline doses for example, they are made for poor efficiency vaping device.

I agree, before having tried DMT i had read that 50-60 mgs was a common dose and thats just all wrong. My 45mg dose was so insane and intense I really see no need to take 60. I'm having a hard time trying to take 30. So far ~20 mg doses work great in my device. And 60mg is just too insane.

I have been doing a work up of 10mg, seems to be adequate for everyone so far. My device seems to be pretty effective really. I know there is some waste, but a gvg is gonna have some waste too, atleast some of the time.
