Amazing harmala combinations you should try

Here's another cool suggestion:
Harmala + ziziphus lotus or ziziphus spina Christi.

Ziziphus has anxolytic energizing qualities it interacts with GABA receptors.
I found it to be also a great addition as the carrier leaf for changa.

Hmm, is it mostly a sedative or does it have any other effect? Cuz ime any synthetic gaba agonist even if its very weak, it will block most of the rue euphoria

I just took around 10 leaves with harmalas and im literally in heaven, i know if i take a higher amount i will literally be in heaven, like literally there, god chose me to experience heaven because he knows my intentions are pure, im lost for words, and this is no intoxication, its the cleanest lifting of the veil

Nutmeg + Harmala seems to be a good combo , thanks !

BTW , i was given a medication against high blood pressure , i took it a few days and was exausted ... I've read that Syrian Rue was good for that and i'm now taking 1 gram of Rue everyday , the result goes beyond my expectations ; it works just fine , my blood pressure is just fine now ! ;)

It's said that it's good for high blood sugar level too , i unfortunatly got diabete as well and i'll let you know in about a month or so , after a blood check , if it's better thanks to Syrian Rue !
I would be very interested in how it effects your blood sugar levels, I too have Diabetes and have heard Syrian Rue was good for high blood sugars. I've drasticly changed my blood sugar levels and in 3 months have droped from 10% down to 6.3% with diet changes and lots of exercise.

So would be very interested in how it effects your sugars. whats your A1C if you dont mind me asking before your started taking the Rue?

Thinking maybe it time I start to jump on the Rue Train!

@SkunK

I probably had diabete for a decade before i knew ! I have a pretty bad neuropathy , my feet hurts and are numb ...
Last exam , 2 months ago was bad , it was 7.5 . I don't exercise enough for sure !

i have a test in a month but i only started taking Rue everyday for about 1 month . i'll let know about the result !
The effect on high blood pressure is defenatly amazing from day one since i got around 12.5 / 9 now and i was around 16 and more most of the time !

Syrian Rue is a great compound for plenty of health issues it seems :);) .

When i drank the ziziphus tea alone it gave a nice soothing calming effect. But when i drank it 40 mins into a strong harmala dose it made it feel smother more meditative and balanced out overall the euphoria didn't decrease but there was less confusion and desorientation and felt more energized like i want to move around more and do stuff around the house.

Cyclopeptide alkaloids (CPAs) exhibit significant anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) and sedative properties, largely derived from plant extracts like Ziziphus jujuba (sour jujube seeds) used in traditional medicine. Their calming effects are primarily driven by interactions with the central nervous system, particularly the GABAergic and serotonergic system.

Key Bioactive Compounds
Sanjoinine A: One of the most studied CPAs, it is heavily concentrated in the seeds of Ziziphus jujuba and is heavily researched for its tranquilizing effects.
Cyclopeptide Alkaloid Fractions (CFAZ): Specialized extract fractions studied in laboratory models of anxiety.

Mechanism of Action
Research indicates CPAs reduce anxiety through the following pathways:
GABA-A Receptor Modulation: CPAs act as positive allosteric modulators on GABA-A receptors. This enhances the flow of chloride ions (
) into cells, increasing inhibitory neurotransmission and resulting in a calming, anti-anxiety effect.
Receptor Overexpression: Studies show that active CPA fractions like CFAZ may overexpress the gamma-subunits of GABA-A receptors, boosting benzodiazepine-like calming responses.
Serotonin (5-HT) Activation: Some evidence suggests CPAs (and the broader herbal extracts they are found in) activate serotonergic pathways, which also contribute to reducing anxiety without inducing extreme muscle relaxation.

Scientific Evidence
In animal models (such as the Elevated Plus-Maze and Open-Field tests), CPA fractions significantly increase the time subjects spend in open spaces and decrease anxiety-like behaviors. Unlike classic sedatives or benzodiazepines, active doses have been observed to reduce anxiety without impairing motor coordination or muscle strength.

Beside combination with harmala it proved to flatten the preflight anxiety from smoking 5-meo-dmt for me and alter the experience positively. It becomes more live, warm and inviting. Same thing with harmala.

Hm, so do we get this effect from jujube fruit as well? I'll be having plenty to discuss with my Persian tea merchant :D

EDIT: what's the source for this information (bottom portion of diagram excerpt has been truncated)?

Worth a try but it's best to crack the hard seed shell and eat the core that's where most of the goodies at.

I tell you what.. i have several ziziphus lotus thorny shrubs growing wild around the farm that need removed..i can harvest the root bark (the highest concentration of CPAs) and send you. We can try it together.

@Thierr7 you really convinced me to try Coleus with harmala. Your heavenly description matches my opinion with ziziphus.

I have a theory, that harmalas give power to your spirit, and takes it to the path of god and away from negativity, which cause the immense healing (just a theory tho🤷🏽‍♂️) im really not joking when i say harmalas give you power, i have a couple of frnds who are semi proffesional boxers, and none of them can punch the wall nearly as hard as i do when im on harmalas (we did a contest) nowhere near as hard or as long.

I swear it makes me feel possessed by god, like it makes me want to do good in all my actions, and makes me feel superhuman, people get scared to look into my eyes on harmalas, it does this strange thing where you literally become a higher spiritual being, ive had a few nightmares (one of them this week) since starting harmalas, and this stuff literally gives me power in my nightmares too, the nightmare i had this week was kinda like sleep paralysis, saw 2 demonic beings jn my room laughing that i couldnt talk, i got mad and used all my power to speak, looked straight to into their eyes and said some islamic prayers (they always get rid of nightmares ime) and then they started acting friendly cuz they knew i had more power than them, but i didnt fall for their bs and f****d them up

Bless harmalas🙏🙏

Might give it a try, does it help with sleep? Rue causes insomnia for me often.

Also, i really recommend giving saffron a try, it also has gaba properties while also being stimulating, adds a really nice serotonergic warmth to the rue and makes life in general feel very exciting, its the best daily rue companion i have tried.

Ah great - I knew I'd been saving up my jujube seeds for some reason or other! Maybe I'll try germinating a few after all, although I'm running out of winter storage for plants, hmm…

Yes it does help falling asleep and stay asleep longer but if you're not laying down and doing something it's energizing it feels spontaneous to want to do things not in a burst of energy like with stimulants but more like a free flow state.

I've yet to try saffron but i had enough rue experiences to discover not all rue strains are equal. Some gave me the impression you describe and others were more blunt (not lacking potency but lacking in that euphoric godly glow).

And don't even bother with old rue it looses that magic aspect rather quickly. Best rue is freshly harvested rue of the right strain.

OMG my man! I'm going to respond here real quickly, and if yoiu don't mind I will send ytou a DM later today, to lkeep this thread on track. But I'm on my way to the hospital this morning to the limb preservation clinic as due to my horrible Neropothy I didn't feel so,mething in my work boot and walked all day and ended up with a blister that got infected in my foot and isn't healing well. I've been off wprk the last 3 months with this injury. So i have had Neropothy for about 4 years, and after stopping my drinking bender and giviing up daily drinking is when my neropthy reallly got bad and for a year I could bearly function. the neropothy has gotten better the last 6 months since I have really got my sugars doiwn, but the damage is done

Feels like I'm reading a post written by myself I've been in the hospital in the last year twice in DKA due to high sugars!

About 2 years ago is when I came acoss a study online about this plant and the effects on Blood Sugars, doctors I have talked to about it have kinda laughed it off , and just perscribe a bunch of pills to take . Which I'd obiously like to get off of due to side effects, etc.
Now after reeading this post, I have already been interested in exploring Syrian Rue for other purposes and came upon your post so now there is even more insentive to get some seed.

I will wait for another 2 months till I get my A1C Bloodwork, as I have been experimenting with taking Chaga, which is a native mushroom here that grows on Birch treese and is made into a brew with also helps lower and maintain blood sugars **(This is edited to put a note of caution as taking these supplaments with perscribed medications can affect your BG to the point of Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), and I thought I had lowered my Insulin enough but was thankfully woken up in the middle of the night by my sensor alarm for low sugars.... which can lead to Diabetic Comas and can be deadly So consult with your doctor before adding any supplements to your perscribed meds) and I have cut my Short acting Inslin down nelly in half the last 1.5 months! Doctors don't know I'm taking it as they have been against taking these supplments!

Such a debilitating disease with so many nasty side effects related to it and also side effects from the medications they provide for Neropothy. They push a lot of SSRI's for Neropothy which at one point in time I have tried them all with no positve effects. There are some supplaments and extracts that I've been taking to try an manage the neropothy but sometimes it can be hard to tell whats working when one is adjusting multiple factors looking for releif at the same time.

If ya don't mind I'll send you a DM later , and maybe we can start a thread in Health and Life style section and share some notes for others

***Had to edit this post to put a disclaimer Caution ****

No problem @SkunK , I sure feel for you , i got the same problems for a long time and it's defenatly not fun ! I use to drink a lot too

Sooo… here's a few coleus seedlings finally sprouting after a recent harm spell. Seems they like a bit of warmth to get going.

I swept up the sand where'd I dropped some seeds on the slabs in my conservatory and scattered it into the seed tray after filling tie cells with seed compost. Looks like it could do with a few more perhaps, although I'll prick out the larger ones into their own cells soon.

Maybe autumn will provide a harmala combo out of this - speaking of which:rue.jpg
the rue plant seems pretty happy. It's great to have yet another means of turning piss into alkaloids alongside my cacti (ibid) and my reed tub:
