We had a similar experience near about 30 years ago. Unfortunately it happened in real life at an Ahmedabad railway station. It was most shocking for the both of us.

By coincidence, when we way-fared through that station three (3) months earlier, we experienced a near death situation on a wooden bunk in one of that very stations' waiting rooms.....

It was very.....weird. As if (an-other)part of we *couldn't leave that station...still waiting for that train on the platform...

* and if eye threw ma lungs away
eye would get them back in a coming day...

One of my first experiences with DMT was similar. It is hard to explain but I will do my best.

It all seemed so real. I don't even remember blowing out my last hit of DMT. It was like I had not even smoked anything. My frame of mind was calm and curious. It felt like an out of body experience. At least it felt that way because of what I saw.

I stood up from where I was sitting on the couch. Walked to the kitchen. When I got to the kitchen I had forgot why I had gone in there. When I attempted to recall why I was in the kitchen I was instantly back on the couch sitting exactly as I had been. I stood again and walked to another part of the house. This happened several times. I would stand, walk around and suddenly back where I was as if I had never stood up to begin with. It was like I was stuck in a loop.

What the hell was going on? The DMT wore off and I sat there just baffled as to what just occurred. Had my soul or spirit been walking around without my body? Was my imagination running wild? It was disconcerting to say the least. Very odd and I never really could put my finger on what happened or why. Seemed to have no rhyme or reason.

The mind is very good at projecting into the future. I think it plays out scenarios looking for the best solution or choice. On DMT the mind was free to walk around so to speak. At least that is my take on it. There didn't seem to have any purpose for doing so. Seemed automatic. Anyhow.. as with anything DMT the words fail. Can't find them to describe this experience properly but I did relate to what you wrote.

i had a very similar experience on a brew of syrian rue and an acacia plant that i thought was acacia confusa but wasn't

i fell asleep after ingesting the brew then i had a vivid dream the events happened exactly where i was then in the dream i tried to sleep and the moment i put my head to the ground i started hearing something heavily breathing behind me, i thoight it was a wild pig and got si scared and i get up try to look back then suddenly i find myself sleeping and i haven't moved at all.. it kept happening until i gave up and focused on the breath then i realised it was a shift of my breath and i thought that this could be my breath and woke instantly

i believe that i was out of my body and hearing my breath behind me but didn't realize that so i was still attached to my body and couldn't move
