Site Quirks topic

Well, that seems to make it all the more baffling!
We're talking about the transition from the old Nexus forum to the new one? If so, I think I remember it being pretty seamless. I believe I logged in, saw the notification of the upcoming change, and followed the instructions to move to the new forum. All without issue.

The new forum has asked me numerous times to enable push notifications, despite my selecting "No, never ask again." I haven't experienced any other cookie (?) issues.

Using Brave browser on Windows 10.

I put it on my todo list to analyze.

P.s. upgrade away from windows 10 ASAP, support for it will either stop or be costly soon and your security will suffer.

Something is wrong with YouTube links. I get the same error everywhere:

P.S. Maybe it's just on my side 🤔
YouTube changed a few things, so now I changed a few things too and hopefully it works again, please let me know!

Not (always) working yet, mostly just error 153 - player configuration (FF mobile)
But sometimes (occasionally) it does work, and then doesn't again. If there's a pattern, I'm yet to fathom it.

Or, I'd best check again, if you've only just implemented the change…
EDIT: nope, still getting a 153 :(Screenshot_2025-10-31_20-31-52.png

That can be your cache still giving issues.

I've cleared my cache and the error 153 message disappears to be replaced by the usual thumbnail, at least where videos are available in the region of the IP, yada yada (y)
Thanks

Glad you found the root cause why it dit not work for you at first!

Did you also pinpoint the specific extension(s) causing it, or are you one of those with a few hundred extensions?

It was something to do with ublock origin, or maybe privacy marmot or whatever the heck it's called (not badger). Probably.

The main setting changed in ubo was "Disable pre-fetching (to prevent any connection for blocked network requests)" switched off
