Do we have another word for changa that is used to differentiate between MAOI-enhanced-leaf + plain enhanced leaf?
I heard the word "deemster" once when a guy was talking about buying it at burning man. Hearing stories about bought or sold spice makes me sad.
When I came here (since I've been at the Aya forums for so long
), to use the word "spice" even felt inappropriate for my personal usage. I understand the respectful connotations it has here, and I never judged or disagreed with its usage, it just felt inappropriate FOR ME.
Though, I had no idea it was from Dune! I watched it and played the computer games when I was a kid... time to revisit!!
Also, I have adapted "spice" occasionally for rapidity of communication (though DMT is shorter... um?).
I prefer "the light"/sacrament...
"Elf spice" just represents the amazing journeys and poetic speech of Terrence McKenna to me, and connotes amazing worlds.
"Jimjam"... makes me think of Jorkest.
If I said "jimjam," it would be obvious that I was just trying to be as cool as Jorkest, which isn't possible.
(I love you, Jorkest!!)
Anyway, "deem" and derivatives just feels disrespectful.
Due to an entheogenic relationship with cannabis, I don't ever say "pot," either.
It was a wise, but rigorous initial conditioning from the Aya forums that really impacts me...
I also like Dimitri... (maybe in longing for my invisible/nonexistant Aya brewing boyfriend in another dimension)
